The Russian Telegram channel Baza writes about this . According to sources, Eremin felt unwell during dinner on August 25, and it became difficult for him to breathe.

“The cause was a piece of meat that got stuck in his airways. Eremin was urgently taken to the Vorokhobov Hospital, but they couldn’t save him. The cause of death was mechanical asphyxia,” the statement said.

It is noted that Eremin was a well-known participant in the football movement in Russia in the 90s. In addition, he served in the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation.

“In the early 2000s, he went to the Caucasus and was involved in the liquidation of a number of well-known field commanders. Eremin rose to the rank of FSB colonel and head of the counter-terrorism department, and went on business trips to Syria,” the report adds.
