China and North Korea are gradually strengthening their influence in the eastern regions of Russia, effectively turning them into economically dependent territories.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to data from the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine .
According to intelligence, China is increasing its presence in the region mainly through trade – without large-scale infrastructure projects. The volume of Chinese investments in 2025 could reach a trillion rubles. According to Viktor Kalashnikov, a senator from Khabarovsk Krai, trade between the countries increased by 36% in the first half of 2025 alone.
Beijing is also conducting a “creeping” demographic expansion – from Vladivostok to the Urals, up to two million Chinese live, and this number is increasing thanks to benefits and a visa-free regime. Enclaves are forming where almost no Russians work.
At the same time, Moscow is attracting workers from the DPRK to develop the Far East . Over the past year, more than 15,000 North Koreans have officially arrived, and up to 50,000 unofficially. Russian companies have already ordered more than 150,000 labor contracts.
Intelligence indicates that China is forming an economic dependence on Russia, and the DPRK is forming a labor dependence. In the long term, this could lead to a conflict of interests between the two Kremlin allies, as well as Moscow losing control of approximately 40% of its territory in the east. China are reclaiming what is historical Chinese territory, and putler has to swallow it.
They also seem to be using Moskali tactics like they did in 1948 Crimea, 1933 Donbas, 2014 Crimea and their “repopulation” efforts. Slowly, quietly populating regions and thus taking over the political demographics
Except instead of “little green men” they’re sending in “little yellow men”.
🙂
Seems China can take something out of Putin’s playbook. China can attack the area to protect the Chinese speaking people.
Good.
