There are currently two dead and six injured following a drone attack, as well as one injured as a result of a ballistics attack.
Updated . In Kyiv, two children, ages 8 and 14, received first- and second-degree burns as a result of the Russian attack, Yevgenia Grigorieva, director of Kyiv City Children’s Clinical Hospital No. 1, reported on Kyiv24 .
“Two children were admitted to our hospital. An 8-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy. The children were hit by flames. They received first- and second-degree burns,” she said.
According to her, the children’s condition is stable, there is no threat to their lives, but they will be in hospital for a long time.
“The torso, face, and upper limbs are affected. The burns are being treated for a long time,” Grigoryeva noted.
A woman who died in Kyiv as a result of a strike by Russian occupiers did not live two days before her birthday. This was reported by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko, on his Telegram channel.
“As a result of a Russian drone attack today in the Shevchenko district, a mother and son – born in 1960 and 1997 – were killed. The deceased woman did not live two days before her birthday,” he wrote.
Another drone targeted a house in the Svyatoshynskyi district.
“Six victims have already been confirmed there, four of them are children,” Tkachenko said.
He noted that a brother and sister and their father were injured in one of the apartments. They were hospitalized.
“In total, 2 people have died and 6 have been injured after the drone attack. Four of the injured are children, three of them are hospitalized. Two injured (a 14-year-old child and a 47-year-old woman) were provided with assistance on the spot,” the head of the KMVA said, adding that there is also a person injured as a result of the ballistic attack.
A friend of the woman who died in the Russian attack on Kyiv told the Kyiv24 channel in a comment that the woman was an extremely sensitive and kind person. She fed stray animals near her home and gave shelter to 9 cats.
“She fed the birds behind the house. She took all 9 cats she had from the street,” recalled a friend of the deceased woman in the Shevchenko district.
It is known that almost all the cats in the apartment died along with the woman and her son. Only one was saved. He is now in a veterinary clinic.
