Chaos in the world is a direct consequence of Russia’s attack on Ukraine, – Meloni

In order for this chaos to disappear, according to Meloni, the war in Ukraine must end.

The explosive situation in the Middle East and the drones over Cyprus are not separate conflicts, but a direct consequence of the destruction of international law.

This was stated by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in an interview with the TG5 TV channel . She noted that it all started with Ukraine, when Russia, a permanent member of the UN Security Council, cynically violated the borders of a neighboring state.

Thus, the Kremlin sent a signal to the whole world that the rules no longer work.

Meloni acknowledged that war had already come to Europe, and to consider these events “distant” is a dangerous illusion.

She noted that as long as the regime in Iran builds up its nuclear capabilities and allies act in isolation, the foundation of global security continues to falter:

“It is clear for Italy and Europe that without the restoration of the law and order that was destroyed in Ukraine, the chaos will only escalate.”

  1. I agree with her but I think it started with Merkel denying Georgia a NATO map in 2008, which in turn gave putler a green light to flout international law 4 months later.
