A ceasefire in Ukraine is realistic to achieve by the end of the year, and it is not difficult to do so. This was stated by the head of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in an interview with Bloomberg on Friday, July 11.

Budanov noted that it is unrealistic for the aggressor country to capture the entire Donetsk Region by the end of this year. According to him, a ceasefire should be achieved as soon as possible and long before the end of this year.

“Is it realistic to do this – yes. Is it difficult – no. It occupies at least three parties – Ukraine, russia and the United States. And we will reach this position,” the head of the Defense Intelligence emphasized.

Currently, russian troops have received a “political goal” to declare that they have entered the Dnipropetrovsk Region and create another buffer zone of up to 10 kilometers, Budanov said. At the same time, the head of the Defense Intelligence explained that the United States will continue to support Ukraine and stressed that it is not necessary to evaluate the statements of the President of the United States Donald Trump by media characteristics, because his position is consistent: “As the head of the special service, I know more things,” Budanov concluded.
