The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a draft law on the introduction of administrative responsibility for public denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, its temporary occupation of the territories of Ukraine and attempts to legalize and legitimize the annexation of part of the territory of Ukraine.

Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said during a government meeting that the law will apply to politicians.

“All our and foreign politicians who talk about the alleged civil war in Ukraine are not pro-Ukrainian Crimea, they should be held accountable for this. And this is definitely not about freedom of speech, but about helping the aggressor, ”Shmygal said.

For violation of the law, a penalty is provided in the form of a fine in the amount of one thousand to two non-taxable minimums (from 17 to 34 thousand UAH), and if it is repeated throughout the year – a fine from two to three thousand (from 34 to 51 thousand UAH).
