In just 10 days after invading Ukraine, Russia has bypassed Iran and North Korea to become the country with the highest number of sanctions.

It is reported by Bloomberg .

Russia has been the target of 2,778 new sanctions since February 22, according to Castellum.ai, the global sanctions tracking database.

The total number of sanctions against the country increased to more than 5530. This is more than Iran, which faced 3616 sanctions during the decade, mainly for its nuclear program and support of terrorism, Syria, which faced 2608 sanctions, North Korea (2077) Venezuela, Myanmar and Cuba (651, 510 and 208 respectively).
