Talks mediated by US President Donald Trump’s administration aimed at resolving the Russia-Ukraine conflict could resume in late September, Kyrylo Budanov, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, said in an interview with The New York Times, according to Report, citing Interfax-Ukraine.
“Negotiations will eventually lead to something. You cannot fight forever,” Budanov said.
According to him, the negotiation process is expected to resume after Russia’s parliamentary elections. A new round of talks could begin with a visit to Kyiv by Trump’s representatives, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
At the same time, Budanov believes that conditions for a ceasefire are unlikely to be in place before spring 2027.
Axios reports, citing sources, that Witkoff and Kushner will visit Moscow and Kyiv on September 5–6 to discuss efforts to end the conflict.

Unless the Ukrainians know something we don’t, negotiations in late September will be completely useless. Trumputler will be insisting on Ukraine giving up land; not just defacto but de jure.
Even if putler agrees to freeze on current lines, that is no good for Ukraine. At best it’s Abkhazia/South Ossetia all over again; ie endless occupation, leading to something even worse.
When/if a framework is reached that Ukraine could live with, there will be another demand : complete immunity for war criminal vermin.
My suggestion : no negotiations, or even talks about negotiations, until putler acknowledges that Ukraine is an independent unitary state, frees all the children, all the adult hostages and agrees to pay in full for all damages and, separately, reparations for families of murder victims, rape victims and torture victims.
Any peace is better than more lives lost. A Ukraine without Ukrainians is worthless.
I only give my opinion.
But I always caveat that by saying it’s not my business to decide. I will accept and fully support whatever Ukrainians decide is right for them.
My own extensive contacts confirm that there is no mood out there to give land away to maniacs in return for a bogus peace.
In any case, nothing that putler signs is worth jack shit.
Keep burning mafia land’s oil industry until it’s all ashes and twisted junk. Then the cockroaches will be ready for genuine talks.
