On the night of Aug. 22, explosions were reported in the Russian city of Kalach-na-Donu, located in Volgograd Oblast. There were reports of a drone attack on the Marynivka military airfield.

Volgograd Oblast Governor Andrei Bocharov claimed that the attack on Marynivka was allegedly repelled. He stated that a fire broke out on the site due to the “fall of a UAV” within the Russian Ministry of Defense’s area.

Russian media reported that one drone was shot down “several kilometers from the airfield,” and the wreckage of another “caused a fire” in a civilian building.

Slovakia’s PM Robert Fico recently claimed that “Nazi troops” are fighting Russians in Ukraine. These remarks were made during his visit to the Holocaust Museum in Sered on Sept. 9, according to the Slovak agency Teraz.sk.

In response, Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry expressed disappointment, noting that “this contradicts the existing level of trust and cooperation between Ukraine and Slovakia.”

“Ukrainian soldiers are currently defending their families, homes, and country, as well as all of Europe and the free world from Russian invaders marked by Latin letter ‘Z’—a symbol of modern Russia’s fascist aesthetics,” said Foreign Ministry spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi.

“For Ukrainians, resisting Russian aggression continues the history of our nation’s resistance to totalitarian regimes in the last century.”

The ministry also noted that in the 20th century, the Ukrainian people “suffered millions of losses in the fight against Nazism and made a significant contribution to the victory over Adolf Hitler.”

“The tragic history of the Holocaust in our land saw Nazis committing horrific atrocities against the Jewish communities of Ukraine, resulting in the deaths of about one and a half million Ukrainian Jews,” Tykhyi added.

“Over 2,600 Ukrainians are listed among the Righteous Among the Nations for rescuing Jews during the Holocaust.”

He emphasized that Ukraine expects continued cooperation with Slovakia and other European partners “in fighting the new Russian evil,” hoping for a constructive dialogue that matches the “traditionally warm and good-neighborly relations between the Slovak and Ukrainian people.”

  1. Fico is one evil motherfucker. Even Orban has not put out such cancerous lies.
They both need to be swinging; along with Lukashenko and the entire kremlin murder gang.

  2. What an awesome drone strike that was. Well done, AFU!
Fico is mafia land’s fecal matter, just like Orb-anus.
