The military man’s comments came shortly after reports that Russia had launched a ballistic missile at Ukraine.
Britain’s armed forces will be ready to fight Russia “tonight” if Russian ruler Vladimir Putin invades another eastern European country.

This was stated by a senior British military officer, Deputy Chief of the British Defence Staff, at the parliamentary defence committee, Rob Magowan, CNN reports .
“If the British Army was asked to fight tonight, it would fight tonight. And I don’t think anyone in this room should have any illusions that if the Russians invaded Eastern Europe tonight, we would meet them in battle,” Magowan said.
Magowan’s comments came shortly after reports that Russia launched a nuclear-capable ballistic missile in an attack on the Dnieper River in Ukraine on Thursday morning.
Russia’s attack on the Dnieper on November 21 – what is known
Let us recall that, as reported by the Ukrainian Air Force, on the morning of November 21, the Russian Federation struck Ukraine with an intercontinental ballistic missile for the first time . This is the first combat use of such weapons in the world. As a result of the shelling, the building of the rehabilitation center for people with disabilities was damaged.
President Volodymyr Zelensky responded to the blow by saying that “the crazy neighbor has once again shown how afraid he is.”
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin said that on November 21, Russia struck the city of Dnepr with a medium-range missile using “the latest Oreshnik missile system with a non-nuclear hypersonic warhead.”
He called the strike on the Dnieper “a response to the recent strikes by ATACMS and Storm Shadow missiles on Russian territory.” According to Putin, the strike on the Dnieper was a test of the Oreshnik, and the target of the strike was a complex that allegedly “produces, in particular, missile technology.”
