The British Rapid Ranger and UK Starstreak have appeared in Ukraine with some NEW images from Aquilla.
The RapidRanger is the Thales launcher that Ukraine mounts on a Spanish VAMTAC and that fires both the Mach 3-plus Starstreak and the 13-kilogram Lightweight Multirole Missile (LMM), known as Martlet in the Royal Navy.
In this video I break down how Ukrainian crews from the 1030th Anti-Aircraft Missile and Artillery Regiment really fight with it: detecting jet-powered Shaheds by sound first, guiding missiles by hand, and getting out before Russia’s drones find them. I also explain why Britain built a missile that can’t see its target on purpose, how laser beam-riding works and shrugs off flares, and how Belfast’s 5,000-plus LMM order plus plans to build RapidRanger launchers in Ukraine could turn short-range air defense into something Ukraine can field at scale.
