British Foreign Secretary Elizabeth Truss said that Britain is considering the possibility of creating a tripartite alliance between Britain, Poland and Ukraine.

She said this during a briefing on January 21.

“We are also strengthening our bilateral partnership following high-level talks in London in December and developing new trilateral ties with Poland and Ukraine. We are also pushing for alternative energy supplies to make countries less dependent on Russian gas,” she said.

She added that the parties need to step up everything: “Together with our allies, we will continue to support Ukraine and call on Russia to de-escalate.”

Truss emphasized that the crisis in Eastern Europe has implications for the whole world.

“Threats to freedom, democracy and the rule of law are not only regional, but also global in nature. And so we must respond together,” the minister said.

In turn, the British Geostrategy Council on Twitter published a map of such a potential geopolitical union.

“Speaking at the Lowy Institute today, British Foreign Secretary Elizabeth Truss outlined the formation of a new ‘triangular’ alliance between Britain, Poland and Ukraine. What does this new alliance look like? And what is its geostrategic significance? Shown in this helpful map,” explained in the Rada.

On the presented map, the British-Polish-Ukrainian alliance is depicted in dark blue, NATO in gray, hostile states (Russia and Belarus) in red.twitter.com/ConGeostrategytwitter.com/ConGeostrategy

  1. I think it’s already a done deal.
But it should include a mutual defence treaty too. These three nations’ armed forces are more than a match for the putinazis.
The hostile states in red need to be added to.
Also in red should be Germany, France, Austria, Hungary, Italy.
