Defense forces destroy bridge on key Russian supply route in Crimea

As UNIAN reported, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are destroying bridges in the occupied territory of Ukraine in order to disrupt the enemy’s logistics and cut off the supply of fuel and ammunition to the Russian military.

A road bridge near the village of Rozdolne in temporarily occupied Crimea was recently destroyed . After the attack, the bridge span collapsed onto the railway track.

It was noted that the attack on the “humpbacked” bridge was carried out on the night of June 18 simultaneously with the attack on the railway bridge over the North Crimean Canal nearby.

On June 22, SSR drones carried out several more strikes on the structure of the railway bridge, which led to critical damage and completely stopped train traffic on this section. Later, the Russians sent special railway repair equipment to the scene.

On the night of June 23, drones again attacked a railway facility near Rozdolne. Ukrainian drones hit both enemy repair equipment and the remains of a destroyed bridge. This thwarted Russian plans to quickly restore railway logistics.

The publication “Military” emphasized that the strikes led to the suspension of the only railway line connecting the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation with the central and western regions of Crimea. This section of the railway was of key importance for ensuring internal logistics and supporting the functioning of the entire Russian military infrastructure on the peninsula.

In addition, communication with the Krasnodar Territory and the occupied parts of the Kherson and Zaporizhia regions was cut. The publication added that rail cargo delivery is now possible only from the Rostov Region via Volnovakha.
