President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky shared news about the successes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the front, in particular in the Belgorod region. Ukrainian military continue to actively operate in the Kursk region and hold their positions.
However, the real achievement was the advance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine deep into the Belgorod region, which allowed expanding the zone of control. The head of state announced this following the report of the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky.
“Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi just reported. Our forces continued their activity in the Kursk region today and are maintaining their positions. In the Belgorod region, our military advanced and increased our zone of control,” Zelenskyy noted.
Earlier, the Institute for the Study of War reported that the Russian army continues to attempt to push the Ukrainian Defense Forces out of the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. The Russians are also trying to repel Ukrainian attacks on the border in the neighboring Belgorod region.
As OBOZ.UA reported, the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation thwarted the plans of the Russian troops to attack the Kharkiv and Sumy regions. The enemy failed to create a powerful “fist” for a strike.
