Kirill Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, has become the new head of the Office of the President of Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on Telegram .
Thus, he reported that at a meeting with Budanov, he offered him to head the Presidential Office.
“Ukraine now needs to focus more on security issues, the development of the Defense Forces and security of Ukraine, as well as on the diplomatic track in negotiations, and the Office of the President will primarily serve the fulfillment of these tasks for our state,” Zelenskyy noted.
He added that Budanov has special experience in these areas and sufficient strength to achieve results.
Judging by the subsequent message, Kirill Budanov agreed to the proposal.
“I also instructed the new head of the Presidential Office, in collaboration with the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine and other relevant leaders and institutions, to update and submit for approval the strategic framework for the defense and development of our state and its next steps,” Zelenskyy wrote.

I hope this was a wise move. Budanov was great at his former job, maybe not so much in this one. But, we’ll see.
I agree Sir OFP. However given his intelligence and insight I believe he will succeed anywhere he goes. That said whoever takes over has some big shoes to fill.
