Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff, during a meeting with Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin, called communication with the Russian dictator “one of the best and most memorable” moments of his life.
Vitkoff’s statements are quoted by Russian media, Censor.NET reports.

At the beginning of the meeting, Witkoff said that before the negotiations began, he waited outside the office door with Jared Kushner, Putin aide Yuri Ushakov, and Russian negotiator Kirill Dmitriev.
“We talked about how when we retire, we’ll have so many stories to tell, and talking to you will be one of the best and most memorable,” Witkoff told the Russian dictator.
He also expressed gratitude to Putin for helping to return American Robert Gilman to the United States, noting that his family is grateful not only to Trump, but also to the Kremlin leader.
For his part, Putin said that such contacts between Moscow and Washington “always benefit” and praised Trump for his continued attempts to “achieve a settlement to the war.”
