The military says that the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Myrnohrad are in an even worse position; they are effectively surrounded.
Ukraine fears encirclement near Pokrovsk and the worst defeat since the beginning of the year, as Russia has thrown all its forces into capturing the city. Ukrainian soldiers told Bild about the critical situation near Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad, where fierce fighting continues.
According to the publication’s sources in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Russian troops have broken through the city limits of Pokrovsk and are advancing toward the complete encirclement of Ukrainian units. Officially, Ukraine claims the city is being held and the Russian army is retreating, but in reality, according to Ukrainian military personnel, the situation is quite different, Bild reports.
“Putin is now throwing all his forces at this region. The situation is extremely dire. We’ve lost 80 percent of the city, we’re still fighting for the remaining 20 percent, and we’re losing there too. The guys in Myrnohrad and further south are in an even worse situation; they’re effectively surrounded,” a high-ranking Ukrainian Armed Forces officer told Bild.
Another soldier who is participating in the defense of Mirnograd confirms his words.
“Even if we had received the order to retreat, we probably wouldn’t have survived. Most likely, none of us would reach Rodinskoye alive. It’s better to stay in our position and wait until we’re either liberated or captured,” he noted.

Seems the Ukrainian military echelon are just as big liars as the Russians we condemn. I thought we were better than that. If true, this is disappointing not only for Pokrovsk but for our military credibility.
Unfortunately it is true. I have a friend who’s private charity has been working with the ZSU since 2014.
She provides vehicles, evac stabilization points and a whole lot more for them.
She is in constant contact with one of the commanders and sent me a report earlier today.

It’s not an official named charity. She holds down a full time job in Kyiv. But in every waking moment of her spare time she helps the ZSU and has done so since 2014. Many Ukrainian professionals do this.

Originally she used to send comfort items like MRE’s, toiletries, sweets, cigs etc.
But that expanded to the main thing : Vehicles and Evac stabilization points. They need lots of simple things like mobile heaters. They burn through SUV’s in just 3 months.
All donations go straight to the ZSU and their ancillary workers.
She does it all on FB and LI. She has amassed thousands of followers. She is well known and linked to many famous Ukrainians like Roman Sheremeta.

Zelenskyy is the problem. He never served in the military (like Trump) and cannot evaluate the situation. Remember, Zelenskyy refused to recognize that Putin will attack after confidential ruSSian documents were already leaked.
Oh you mean just like Poroshenko who did absolutely nothing to prepare the military while he was in office (well he did negotiate the Minsk agreement which should have been written on toilet paper) despite being under siege since 2014. You mean that guy as well?
