BREAKING NEWS: Ukraine will be the first to receive new SAMP/T systems capable of intercepting Russian ballistic missiles.

Macron noted that Ukraine already knows the characteristics of this system.

France is developing a new generation of SAMP/T air defense systems . Ukraine will be the first country to receive these systems. Delivery dates have not yet been disclosed. As reported by a UNIAN correspondent, French President Emmanuel Macron announced this at a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Paris.

“Regarding the acquisition of new, latest-generation SAMP/T air defense systems. They’re still in development, but we agreed that this particular system could be the first to be deployed in Ukraine and operate in Ukraine. Ukraine already knows the specifications of this SAMP/T system, but now it will have new, enhanced specifications,” Macron noted.

As Zelenskyy reported, the new generation of SAMP/T systems is a very serious level for intercepting Russian ballistic missiles.

“You know that we’re working with Patriot missiles against ballistics. The new SAMP/T level is designed to counter enemy ballistics. I can’t give you specific delivery dates for this product, which is very important to us,” Zelenskyy said.
