Zelensky and Macron signed an agreement that provides for the strengthening of Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine plans to order 100 Dassault Rafale fighter jets from France, French media reported .
“Ukraine has just placed a historic order for 100 Rafale fighter jets to equip its army, Volodymyr Zelenskyy told Thomas Misrahi of TF1-LCI,” the statement read.
The president made this statement immediately after Kyiv and Paris signed a “historic” agreement on aid to Ukraine. French media have not yet released any further details.
French fighter jets for Ukraine
As a reminder, today Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and French President Emmanuel Macron signed an agreement strengthening Ukraine. It includes the transfer of Rafale fighter jets and the SAMP/T air defense system.
Regarding the Rafale fighter jets, French sources report that the time between the decision to deliver the Rafale jets generally takes up to three years due to production cycles, despite France increasing the production rate.
At the same time, the French military says that some of the fighters may be allocated from the country’s strategic reserves.

What about the Gripens?
I am wondering if this is in addition too or in stead of.
I like the Gripin but the supply rate will be slow which is not as big a problem for the Rafale.
From what I gather this deal is in addition to the deal with Sweden, not instead of.
