The Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed a Russian Mi-8 helicopter for the first time using a deep strike drone. The Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Telegram , sharing a video.
“Every mission requires creativity, from the technical specifications of the aircraft to the planning and training of the pilots. This mission left the enemy with many questions, the answers to which only the Mi-8 crew members know, but won’t reveal,” the Special Operations Forces press service noted.
The video’s caption makes it clear that the downing occurred on Russian territory, near the village of Kuteynikovo in the Rostov region. The helicopter was shot down using a Ukrainian FP-1 long-range attack drone.
