Ukraine declares a curfew from 00:00 on the night of May 5 to 6. This was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
The Head of State noted that the Ukrainian side will act in a mirror manner during the period of the ceasefire. He also commented on the unilateral ceasefire declared by Russia.
“To date, there has been no official appeal to Ukraine regarding the modalities of the cessation of hostilities, which is being claimed on Russian social networks. We believe that human life is of incomparably greater value than the “celebration” of any anniversary. In this regard, we are announcing a regime of silence starting at 00:00 on the night of May 5 to 6,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
According to the president, it is realistic to ensure a cessation of fighting before the start of the curfew.
“We will act in a mirror image, starting from the indicated moment. It is time for Russian leaders to take real steps to end their war, if the Russian Ministry of Defense believes that it will not hold a parade in Moscow without the goodwill of Ukraine,” the head of state summed up.
