A Trump representative could make such a proposal to the Ukrainian negotiating team.
In recent weeks, US President Donald Trump has taken a number of steps to rehabilitate Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and his return to diplomatic society. In turn, the White House leader considers Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to be the main obstacle to peace, The New York Times reports .

The publication notes that Trump’s disdain for Zelensky is not new, as is the American president’s affection for Putin. However, now Trump is determined to impose a peace agreement on Ukraine and give up part of the eastern territories. According to the NYT, the US argues that Kyiv can make money from such an agreement. For this, it is only necessary to abandon the “red lines.”
Journalists write that it is with this reference that Trump’s special representative Steve Witkoff will arrive in Oslo for negotiations with the Ukrainian side. The very next day, he, as well as the US president’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, will arrive in St. Petersburg to meet with Putin. There, they are expected to demonstrate the benefits of concluding a deal with Putin by securing the release of a long-detained American.
The publication writes that the US is likely planning to use this to free American Steven Hubbard, who was captured by Russia and accused by Moscow of participating in hostilities against Ukraine. Hubbard, who is now about 75 years old, was sentenced to more than six years in a penal colony in Russia.Read also:
Journalists noted that the decision to release the man costs Putin nothing, but allows Trump to claim foreign policy successes on the eve of the elections. However, globally, the goal of Putin and Trump is the normalization of relations between the countries. In particular, the United States wants to reintegrate Russia with the West, hoping to curb Putin’s territorial desires. And it is with this goal that a meeting of the leaders of the United States, China and Russia is probably planned in the near future.

How do you say FU to a moronic asswipe
This guy just doesn’t get it
How many think Trump is not on the Russian side? 2 of 3?
In U.S. ? Maybe 1 out of 3, globally far far less.
I am pretty optimistic that Zelensky will continue the war until Ukraine is more fucked. So i won’t even follow the fake hope of negotiations. Also Congress will block any agreement anyway. One million people dead already. Why not another million? I mean Zelensky will liberate all occupied territories himself and kill putin…
Ukraine will fight for their freedom just as they have done for more than 800 years. And they should. Those that don’t learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
Ukrainians won’t fall for some wicked deal giving the evil invaders the Donbas because the Filth will then go to Mykolaiv and then Odesa. I seriously doubt Vladolf ever gave up his ambitions to take a land bridge to Transnistria and cut off Ukraine from the Black Sea.
Your opinion. I fully disagree.
No deals with the cockroaches and no deals with the orange gangster.

Until putler comes up with more red lines that need to be abandoned. That’s before you get to the disgusting proposition by TACO to sell people and land like some fucking slave trader. Not that Ukraine would ever benefit from any deal made by TACO.
