US President Donald Trump wished Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban success in the upcoming 2026 elections, calling him a “great leader.”
Trump said this on October 13 at a press conference in the Egyptian city of Sharm el-Sheikh as part of the Gaza peace summit, Censor.NET reports .
The American president called out the Hungarian prime minister’s name several times at the end of his speech, saying that “we love Viktor” and calling him “victor”.
“What a great guy. You’re fantastic. He’s a great leader. I know a lot of people disagree with me, but my opinion is all that matters to me. I supported him in the last election, and he won by 28 points. So you’ll do even better this time if there’s a new election,” Trump said .
