The left bank has no water supply.

Last night, Russia again attacked Kiev with ballistic missiles and drones, and powerful explosions were heard.

Updated May 8. As a result of the attack on the capital, 5,635 multi-story buildings were left without power. According to Mayor Vitali Klitschko , almost 80 percent of these buildings were experiencing power shortages following the previous attack on January 9. As of yesterday evening, only 16 buildings remained without power.

In addition, as a result of today’s attack, the left bank is still without water supply.

Kyiv police reported that a high-rise building in the Dniprovskyi district was damaged by a blast wave and a 59-year-old local resident was injured.

Also, about two dozen parked cars were damaged by falling debris.

In the Darnytskyi district, windows and a fence of a private home were damaged. In Desnyanskyi, drone debris fell into a cemetery. There were no injuries in either district.

As reported by the capital’s mayor, Vitali Klitschko , as a result of the enemy attack on the left bank of the capital, there are interruptions in electricity and water supplies.

“Social infrastructure facilities are switching to an autonomous power supply,” he noted.

There is currently information about one casualty in the Dniprovskyi district. Non-residential buildings were also hit in the Dniprovskyi district. There are also reports of a drone crash in an open area. Cars are on fire there.

Kyiv City Administration Head Timur Tkachenko reported that a fire broke out in a warehouse in the Dniprovskyi district.

Kyiv has not yet recovered from the previous attack.

On January 9, due to overnight shelling by Russian occupiers of critical infrastructure facilities in some areas of Kyiv, there were interruptions in heat and hot water supplies, and emergency shutdowns were temporarily imposed on the Left Bank of the capital.

According to Yasno CEO Sergey Kovalenko, due to the consequences of Russian attacks on the power grid, power outages in the capital began lasting more than 16 hours.

At the same time, energy expert Gennady Ryabtsev noted that the capital was planned to switch to an hourly power outage schedule starting January 20, but multiple equipment failures prevented this from happening .
