On the night of Thursday, December 18, the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump , will likely declare war on Venezuela.
This statement was made by journalist Tucker Carlson, citing an unnamed member of Congress on the podcast Judging Freedom . According to him, US lawmakers received information the day before about an imminent war with Venezuela.
“I’ve certainly had a lot of phone conversations about this. I have no authority. I’m a podcaster, but I’m very interested in this. And here’s what I know right now: Yesterday, members of Congress were briefed that war was coming,” he said.
Carlson says that Trump may make such a statement in an address to the nation at 9 p.m. (04:00 Kyiv time, – UNIAN).
“And who knows, by the way, whether it will actually happen? I don’t know. And I never want to exaggerate what I know, which is generally quite limited information. But a member of Congress told me about it this morning,” the journalist added.
