BREAKING NEWS: The US is threatening to block arms supplies to Ukraine over the strikes on Russian oil refineries, according to FT.

While American officials were calling Europe, Trump suddenly announced an “energy truce.”

The Donald Trump administration wants Ukraine to stop attacking Russian energy supplies , and is resorting to harsh threats to do so. The mechanism through which Kyiv receives American weapons could be at risk, the Financial Times reports, citing European officials.

According to the publication, American representatives called European capitals and Kyiv on Saturday and Sunday. The purpose of the calls was to stop the attacks on Russian oil refineries. The FT’s sources either received these calls themselves or were aware of their content.

It was revealed that Washington threatened to curtail intelligence sharing with Ukraine and also stop the PURL (Priority Needs List) mechanism, through which European partners purchase American weapons for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

“They’re calling Kyiv… they’re calling everyone [in Europe],” said one official who received a call from a US defense official.

Among those contacted by the Americans, the publication names Zelenskyy’s military adviser, Pavlo Palisa, who previously commanded the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade.

At the same time, the White House did not confirm or comment on the calls.

Energy truce

However, as the publication notes, already on Sunday Trump surprised both Kyiv and the Europeans, who were under pressure from his own team.

On the social network TruthSocial, the US President announced that Ukraine and Russia had agreed to cease attacks on each other’s energy facilities.

“The ENERGY CEASE in the war between Russia and Ukraine is effective immediately. Both sides have agreed to it. Do not break it!” Trump wrote.

A senior official close to Zelensky told the FT that Kyiv was recovering from the latest attack at the very moment Trump’s statement was made.

“Right now, our repair crews are restoring electricity and water supplies in Kyiv [after the recent Russian strikes]… No one has heard [about a ceasefire],” he said.

Zelensky’s reaction

Meanwhile, Zelenskyy, speaking to Axios, admitted that Trump’s announcement of an energy ceasefire was news to him. However, the president assured that Kyiv would support such an agreement if Moscow agreed to it, and asked Washington to set a precise start date. Whether Moscow has agreed to such a ceasefire remains unknown.

“If President Trump has agreed on this with Putin, please tell us when the ceasefire begins. We are ready, and we will accept it,” Zelenskyy emphasized.

Later in his evening address, Zelenskyy announced that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had already received all the relevant orders regarding the energy ceasefire. At the same time, the president emphasized that Kyiv is still awaiting specifics from Washington regarding its negotiations with Moscow.

  1. Krasnov, as offical registrated KGB agent, is in full swing. That selfish Communist must be stopped. When are the votes in? Yes, i am angry.

  2. Trump is a madman. Importing “Russian”hydrocarbons is illegal according to other articles you published today. Why isn’t this grounds for impeachment?
