The administration of US President Donald Trump did not even warn its German partners about suspending the supply of certain types of weapons to Ukraine.

The United States has suspended some weapons deliveries to Ukraine and cut off one of its direct contacts with the German generals who coordinated aid to Kyiv. Bundeswehr Lieutenant General Christian Freuding stated this in an interview with the American publication The Atlantic .

The German general, who holds the position of Commander-in-Chief of the German Armed Forces, previously headed a special working group coordinating military support for Ukraine at the German Ministry of Defense. According to him, the administration of US President Donald Trump did not even notify German partners about the suspension of certain types of weapons supplies to Ukraine.

He noted that until recently he was able to exchange text messages with Pentagon representatives around the clock, but this communication channel has now been terminated.

The general stated that now, to obtain information, he has to contact the German embassy in Washington, where, according to him, there is a person working who is trying to “find at least someone in the Pentagon.”
