Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin stated that Russian deputies are demanding a strike against Ukraine using so-called “retaliatory weapons” starting next week. He wrote this on his Telegram channel .
According to Volodin, the State Duma’s deputies are insisting on the use of “more powerful weapons” to achieve the goals of the “special military operation”—as Russia calls the war against Ukraine.

He linked the new threats to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s refusal to visit Moscow, stating that because of this, Ukrainians will face “new problems” “as early as next week.”
