The Russian Foreign Ministry said it had submitted proposals to the US to eliminate “serious barriers” on the path to a full-fledged “recovery” of relations.

This is stated in  the responses of the Russian Foreign Ministry received at the press conference of Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Censor.NET reports.

What did the Russian Federation propose? 

It is noted that the Russian side “considers it important to move on to truly significant issues, including the restoration of direct air traffic and the return of our confiscated diplomatic property.” 

“Proposals have been submitted to the Americans to eliminate these serious barriers on the way to a full-fledged improvement of relations between Moscow and Washington,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said .

They state that if the US goes ahead with restoring relations with the Russian Federation, then “very promising and profitable horizons of cooperation with us will open up before the Americans, primarily for themselves.”

Among the directions:

• hydrocarbons,
• critically important minerals and rare earth elements,
• cooperation in the Arctic,
• artificial intelligence and space.

“We would welcome the success of Russian-American normalization, of course, provided that this process continues to develop on an equal and mutually respectful basis,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
