“The implementation of the tasks of the special military operation by the Joint Group of Forces will be continued by conducting offensive actions. Today we will clarify the tasks of the group of forces in the directions for the autumn period,” the message says.

In addition, Gerasimov stated that the Russian Federation is allegedly attacking “exclusively military facilities and objects of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex.”

“According to the plan of the General Staff, a targeted task of massive fire strikes continues exclusively against military facilities and facilities of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine. During the spring-summer period, such strikes were carried out on 76 important facilities. Priority is given to hitting enterprises producing missile systems and long-range UAVs,” he said.

According to him, “today the strategic initiative lies entirely with the Russian troops.”
