Primorsk is a key hub for loading the “shadow fleet” with which the Russian Federation circumvents international sanctions.

This night, drones of the Security Service of Ukraine struck the largest Russian oil loading port on the Baltic Sea, which is the final point of the Baltic pipeline system. As UNIAN sources in the special service told us, Primorsk is a key hub for loading the “shadow fleet”, with the help of which the Russian Federation circumvents international sanctions and sells oil on foreign markets.
About 60 million tons of oil pass through the port each year, bringing Russia approximately $15 billion.
According to the source, as a result of a successful attack by SBU drones, fires broke out on one of the vessels in the port and at the pumping station, and oil shipments were suspended. Estimated daily losses to the Russian budget from the suspension of exports could amount to up to $41 million.
It is also noted that the SBU forces hit a number of Russian oil pumping stations – “NPS-3”, “Andreapol” and “NPS-7”. They are key elements of the main pipeline system that ensures the supply of crude oil to the Ust-Luga port terminal.
“The SBU was the first to systematically introduce so-called drone sanctions against the Russian oil industry. They block the flow of petrodollars to the aggressor’s budget. And since the Russian economy relies on oil, every such “cotton” hits their ability to fight against our state. These sanctions will last until a just peace comes to Ukraine,” an informed source in the SBU noted.

Ukraine’s attacks deep into Russia
As UNIAN previously reported, on the night of August 24, long-range drones of the SBU and Special Operations Forces lit a bright “cotton” on the production facilities of the port of Ust-Luga in the Leningrad region . In particular, Ukrainian drones hit the gas processing complex of the Novatek company, which is Russia’s largest producer of liquefied gas. This was the second successful attack by SBU drones on Ust-Luga this year. The first was in early January.
We also wrote that, as reported by Russian media, the Leningrad region was also under a massive drone attack. It is noted that Tosno, a city and a large railway junction south of St. Petersburg, is also under attack. In the Smolensk region, according to local residents, there was an attack by drones on the facilities of the Russian oil company Lukoil.
