The SBU has struck hangars with Russian fighter jets at the Saki military airfield in temporarily occupied Crimea, the agency said in a Telegram message .

“Fulfilling the tasks set by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky within the framework of a 40-day operation to influence the Russian Federation, the SBU successfully struck the Saki military airfield in temporarily occupied Crimea. The target of the operation was the airfield infrastructure, in particular the hangars with fighter jets,” the statement said.
Five drone strikes on hangars where aircraft equipment was stored have been confirmed so far.
According to preliminary information, Su-30 and Su-30SM fighters were in the two hangars at the time of the strike. After the attack, a fire was recorded in the hangar where the Su-30SM was located, indicating a successful target hit.
The department notes that the estimated cost of each such aircraft is between $30 and $50 million, depending on the configuration.
