It is considered one of the key electronic warfare assets in the arsenal of the Russian Armed Forces.
The Russian EW station “Borisoglebsk-2”, which is one of the most modern Russian systems, was hit. This was reported by the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It is noted that fighters from the 413th “Raid” battalion of the SBS discovered and, from a distance of about 70 km, destroyed a station from the RB-301B “Borisoglebsk-2” electronic warfare system of the Russian Armed Forces.
The report says that “Borisoglebsk-2” is one of the most modern Russian electronic warfare systems, which is designed to conduct radio reconnaissance and suppress a wide range of enemy communications, control and navigation systems. In particular, the system is actively used to combat UAVs. It is considered one of the key electronic warfare systems in the arsenal of the Russian Armed Forces. The SBS notes that this is a priority target for the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
“Considering the technological complexity of the Borisoglebskaya-2, the loss of each such station is significant for the Russian army,” the statement said.

Destruction of Borisoglebsk-2 complexes
As UNIAN reported, in November 2024, military officer Robert Brovdi, also known as “Magyar”, reported the destruction of a rare and very valuable electronic suppression system “Borisoglebsk-2” in the Pokrovsky direction. He noted that the cost of one complex is about 200 million dollars.
The video showed the valuable enemy equipment being bombed with “drops” from a drone bomber.
According to Robert Brovdy, given the importance of the target, the “Birds of Magyar” carried out a second bomber sortie to consolidate the success with several more drops.

It appears this advanced EW system failed at he one job it was designed for.
Ukraine is said to have certain drones that are pretty immune to EW. It seems that Madyar’s unit, being one of the very best, has them.
Maybe they have their own fiber optic drones.
I think so, but this strike is too far for them.
