They carried out operational refueling and inter-flight technical inspection.

The “Birds” of the Unmanned Systems Forces (USF) hunted down and shot down two enemy Mi-28 and Mi-17 helicopters in the Voronezh region of the Russian Federation, 150 km from the line of combat contact . This was reported by the Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Robert (Madyar) Brovdi.

“A field landing site more than 150 km deep from the LBZ with four Mi-28 and Mi-17 helicopters, which carried out operational refueling and inter-flight technical inspection, was visited by a flock of small but freedom-loving Ukrainian SBS birds,” he noted.

According to the commander, the defeat was carried out by pilots of combined crews of the 429th Achilles and 43rd OABR, in a jointly developed operation with the Central Military District “A” on April 29 in the Voronezh region.

He noted that the damage was inflicted in the rear center of the engine compartment, bypassing the main propeller blades.

“As a result of the strike, at least one of the helicopter maintenance specialists who was hit by the drone was killed,” added Magyar.
