NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte advised not to pay too much attention to the statements of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
He stated this on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends,” Censor.NET reports .
“Lavrov has been the Russian Foreign Minister, it seems, since the birth of Jesus Christ. Since then, nothing useful has ever come out of his mouth. Let’s not pay too much attention to him,” said the NATO Secretary General.
In addition, Rutte supported comments by US President Donald Trump, who said the day before that NATO member countries should shoot down Russian drones and aircraft if they enter their airspace, if such a step is necessary.
“If necessary. So I completely agree with President Trump: if necessary,” he noted, adding that NATO militaries are trained to assess such threats and determine whether they can escort Russian aircraft out of allied territory or take further action.
