Local authorities report damage to energy facilities.
A series of explosions rocked the Russian city of Belgorod on the evening of Saturday, January 24. Afterward, the city was partially plunged into darkness.
Vyacheslav Gladkov, Governor of Russia’s Belgorod Region, claims the city was subjected to “the heaviest shelling.” A representative of the aggressor country says the strikes were likely carried out by HIMARS missiles.

Gladkov also confirmed that energy facilities were damaged as a result of the attack.
The military-political leadership of Ukraine has not made any statements on this matter.
Meanwhile, social media reports claim Belgorod residents counted at least 50 explosions. Videos of the explosions are also being posted online:
