Russian occupiers have launched strikes on Zaporizhia, they have been aiming to hit the city’s critical infrastructure. Ivan Fedorov , head of the Zaporizhia Regional Military Administration, reported this on his Telegram channel.

First, he announced the threat of ballistic missile strikes on the Zaporizhia region, and later reported explosions in the region.

“The Russians have launched strikes on Zaporizhia. They are trying to specifically strike the city’s critical infrastructure,” the OVA chief said.

He later added that the city had been hit twice, with two casualties reported, though that number later rose.

“Already four wounded – the number of victims as a result of the enemy strike on Zaporozhye has increased. They are receiving all necessary medical care,” Fedorov wrote.

Later, Fedorov said that six people, two of them in serious condition, were hospitalized in medical facilities in Zaporozhye.

“These are the victims of the attack on the regional center. The number of people who needed medical help is increasing,” he emphasized.

Updated 10.55. Fedorov subsequently reported that the number of casualties from the enemy attack on Zaporozhye was increasing – there were already seven wounded. “A man in serious condition was hospitalized,” he wrote.

The head of the OVA added that priority work to eliminate the consequences of the attack is continuing at the site of the impacts.

“The number of casualties as a result of the enemy strike on Zaporozhye has increased to 17 people,” Fedorov said later.

At the same time, Andriy Yermak , head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, noted: “Zaporizhzhya. Also, the Russians’ ballistic missile strike on our city.

That is why Putin does not want to cease fire – he likes to shell peaceful cities and talk about the desire to end the war. So far, we do not see this desire,” he emphasized.

Updated 11.14. Fedorov also reported that as a result of the strike, shops and a bus stop in the city were taken over, a minibus, residential buildings and a workshop of one of the enterprises were damaged.

“Police and rescuers pulled a man with burns out of the abyss created by the explosion. Doctors are fighting for his life,” the head of the OVA noted.
