Several powerful explosions were heard in Cherkasy at night. A child is among the injured.
On the night of July 24, Russian occupiers launched a missile strike on Cherkasy, causing fires in the city and injuries.
This was reported by the head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration (OVA) Ihor Taburets. “A rocket attack on the regional center. We have several fires in the city. All services are working. According to preliminary data, six people were injured,” he said, promising more information later.
The regional center experienced power outages and internet outages.
Later, Taburets added that the fires in the city had been extinguished.
According to the latest data from Cherkasy Mayor Anatoliy Bondarenko, the number of injured has increased. “We have seven victims who have sought medical help, including one child,” he detailed.

The Sumy Regional Defense Army also noted that there were no deaths or injuries among civilians as a result of Russian shelling of the region.
