The impact damaged civilian infrastructure and specialized equipment.

On the evening of July 10, the Russians attacked the Odessa region with cruise missiles – port infrastructure was damaged, a dock worker was killed.  

As reported by the head of the Odessa OVA, Oleg Kiper, the enemy attacked the port infrastructure with missiles. Fires broke out in the territory, which rescuers localized.

“Unfortunately, one person was killed… The consequences of the enemy attack are being eliminated at the scene,” the official said.

The state enterprise “Ukrainian Sea Ports Administration” informed that a port dock operator died while performing his professional duties. As a result of the impact, civilian port infrastructure facilities and specialized equipment were damaged.

“A fire broke out on the territory of one of the terminals… We thank the rescuers, emergency services workers, power engineers and everyone who is working promptly on site to eliminate the consequences of the attack and ensure safety,” the USPA added.

As Deputy Prime Minister for Recovery, Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba clarified, production facilities and equipment on the territory of port operators were damaged. In particular, in addition to special equipment, office and household premises were damaged.

Spokeswoman for the Odessa Regional Prosecutor’s Office Inna Verba told UNIAN that a 50-year-old man died. Criminal proceedings have been initiated under Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – war crimes that caused the death of a person.
