Today, the Russian occupation army attacked Transcarpathia – in Mukachevo, two sea-based Kalibr missiles hit an enterprise with foreign investments. This was announced during a telethon by the head of the Transcarpathian Regional Military Administration, Myroslav Biletsky.

According to him, the Russians struck a factory where household appliances were manufactured.

“There was a hit at the factory – this is civilian infrastructure where household appliances are manufactured. This is a foreign investment…”, the official said.

He specified that the enterprise was hit by two “Caliber” missiles at about 4:40 a.m. As a result, 12 factory workers were injured and taken to the hospital. Two of them are in serious condition, and doctors are currently fighting for their lives.

As Biletsky explained, the fire is still raging, and rescuers are extinguishing the flames. Because a lot of plastic is burning, harmful substances are being released into the air, so the population is advised to close windows and avoid going outside if possible.

Also, the official added, a “shaheed” landed in one of the villages of the Khust region: private houses were damaged. According to preliminary data, there were no casualties there. The consequences of the drone attack are being eliminated.

According to the Transcarpathian Regional Prosecutor’s Office, an explosion at an enterprise in Mukachevo was caused by “Caliber” missiles. Prosecutors have launched an investigation into the fact of committing a war crime (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

At the same time, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga said that an enemy missile hit an American electronics factory.

“This is a completely civilian facility that has nothing to do with defense or the military. This is not the first Russian attack on American businesses in Ukraine after the strikes on Boeing offices in Kyiv earlier this year and other attacks. No military logic or necessity, just terror against people, businesses, and normal life in our country,” the diplomat stressed.

Later, the National Police of Ukraine clarified that 15 civilians were injured in Mukachevo due to a strike on an industrial facility. The youngest of the injured is 22 years old, the oldest is 63. An investigative and operational group, forensic experts and explosives technicians are working at the scene. Rescuers and medics are involved in eliminating the consequences of the shelling and assisting the victims.
