The president believes that there must be an appropriate global response to such a Russian war.

On October 30, Russian forces struck the Slavyansk Thermal Power Plant (TPP), killing two people. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this in an evening video address.

“A few hours ago, there was an attack on the Slavyansk Thermal Power Plant – an attack by Russian bombs. Unfortunately, two people were killed. My condolences. There are wounded. And this is pure terrorism. Normal people don’t fight like this, and there must be an appropriate world response to this Russian war,” the president said.

According to him, power engineers have been working all day in Ukraine “from Zaporizhzhia and Mykolaiv to Frankivsk and Vinnytsia regions” following the massive Russian strike overnight.

“Unfortunately, there were hits, and the target was energy. The strike was complex, combined, and deliberately calculated, making it difficult to counter,” Zelensky noted.
