BREAKING NEWS: Russians attacked Nova Poshta warehouses and production facilities in Kyiv region: one person died (photo)

The Russian army is using repeated strikes tactics.

On the night of August 28, Russian occupiers attacked the warehouses of Nova Poshta in the Bilogorodska community, in the Kyiv region , and damaged the production facility located nearby in Sviatopetrivske. This was reported by the Bilogorodska village head Anton Ovsienko.

“Information about victims and injured people is being clarified. I am currently at the scene of the incident. All services are also on site – units of the State Emergency Service, the Local Fire Brigade, the police and community utilities. The elimination of the consequences of the night attack is ongoing,” he wrote.

According to him, the Russian army is using the tactic of repeated strikes, since almost an hour after the first hit, while the fire was being extinguished, two more strikes were made on the same place. The rescuers managed to hide in a safer place.

“As of now, there is significant smoke at the scene. I ask residents of Svyatopetrovsky and surrounding areas to close their windows and, if possible, not to go outside unnecessarily. Also, information for drivers. Today, August 28, traffic will be temporarily restricted on part of Kyivska Street in the direction of the city of Boyarka,” Ovsienko added.

The official emphasized that traffic restrictions will be in effect on part of Industrialna and Chornovola streets in Sviatopetrivske.

Later, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that rescuers in the Buchansky district were working at several locations where fires in warehouses and cars had broken out due to drone strikes.

“At one of the locations, during the rescue operation, a second drone hit was recorded. After conducting reconnaissance, emergency responders continued their work. The fire in the warehouse building has been localized, and work to eliminate the consequences is ongoing,” the report noted.

In addition, emergency responders extinguished a fire in 30 cars, which damaged an apartment building – the blast wave broke out windows.

At the same time, the head of the Kyiv OVA wrote that civilian objects were hit by enemy UAVs: private and apartment buildings, warehouses, cars, and enterprises.

“Currently, 14 warehouses, 16 private households, 3 apartment buildings, and 16 vehicles have been damaged in the region. Damage was recorded in Fastiv, Boryspil, Vyshgorod, Brovar, and Buchanan districts,” added Timur Tkachenko.

Updated 10:24 AM . An official later reported that one person was killed in the morning attack in the Buchanan district.

“Another man received multiple shrapnel wounds. He was hospitalized to a local hospital. A woman was also injured in the Fastiv district – she received cuts on her arm. She is currently receiving the necessary medical care,” Tkachenko noted.
