The destruction of the S-300 system reduces the enemy’s ability to strike at long distances.

In the Zaporizhia region, the Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully destroyed an S-300 anti-aircraft missile system , from which Russian invaders usually fire at civilians.

As stated in a message from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the social network Facebook, on August 2, 2025, the Defense Forces of Ukraine carried out a high-precision strike on Russian military facilities in the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhia region.

“As a result of the operation, the S-300 anti-aircraft missile system of the Russian occupation forces was destroyed by long-range fire weapons,” the statement said.

In particular, the elimination of this target significantly reduces the enemy’s long-range firepower and reduces its ability to fire on Ukrainian Defense Forces positions and the region’s civilian infrastructure.

“This strike once again confirms the effectiveness and accuracy of Ukrainian units in identifying and destroying critical enemy targets, including in temporarily occupied territories,” the General Staff noted.
