Russian occupiers attacked Odessa on the night of July 19 , resulting in one person being killed. This was reported by the Odessa Region State Emergency Service, which showed the consequences of another Russian shelling in the city.https://youtu.be/qDnaihAVyAk

They said that the attack caused a fire on floors 6 to 9 of a 9-story apartment building. Rescuers extinguished the fire together with volunteers. 

“Five people were rescued from burning apartments, unfortunately, one rescued woman died. Psychologists from the State Emergency Service and the National Police worked at the scene. Pets were evacuated from the damaged apartments,” the report added.

In total, 58 rescuers and 16 units of fire equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.

Updated 08:41 . As UNIAN was informed by the press service of the Odessa Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a pensioner died in Odessa, six more people were injured to varying degrees of severity, they are receiving medical assistance. Data on other possible victims is being clarified.

“The deceased woman is approximately 65 years old. The year of birth is also currently being clarified,” the prosecutor’s office explained.

According to the investigation, on the night of July 19, the Russian armed forces attacked Odessa with strike drones. It has been previously established that the enemy used more than 20 UAVs. The prosecutor’s office added that at least eight residential buildings were damaged, in one of which almost ten apartments were completely destroyed.

The premises of a medical laboratory, shops, a beauty salon, restaurants and cars of citizens were also destroyed. The survey is ongoing, a full list of destruction and damage is being established. At the scene, law enforcement officers are documenting the consequences of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. An investigation has been launched into the fact of committing war crimes that caused the death of a person (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
