Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga said that Russia violated the energy truce immediately after it was announced by US President Donald Trump.

Sibiga said he had a conversation with German Foreign Minister Johann Wadeful. During the conversation, he spoke about the Russian strike on Kharkiv CHP-5, which had been carried out a few hours earlier.
“I informed Johann about the Russian strike on Kharkiv CHPP-5, which occurred a few hours ago. Russia violated the energy truce immediately after its announcement,” said Sibiga.
The minister also confirmed Ukraine’s readiness for a complete energy ceasefire provided that Russia ceases attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure.

On October 11, US President Donald Trump said that Ukraine and Russia had allegedly agreed to an immediate energy ceasefire .
At the same time, Axios journalist Barak Ravid reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was unaware of the announcement of such a ceasefire, but was ready to agree to it .
Zelensky later said that after Trump’s statement, Russian troops struck the Kharkiv CHPP-5 and the power plant in Kyiv.
