The occupiers struck again during the aftermath.
On the evening of October 10, Russians used drones to attack a power engineering brigade vehicle in the Semenivka community of the Chernihiv region. Two people were killed and several were injured, according to Vyacheslav Chaus, chairman of the regional military administration.

According to the official, the vehicle caught fire after the drone struck it, and during the cleanup, another strike occurred, striking another vehicle at the plant. One worker died at the scene, and four others were injured and hospitalized. Another power engineer later died in the hospital.
Chaus added that Russian troops also fired on the local fire brigade that arrived to help.Video of the day
Chernihiv Energy stated that this is the first time that an employee has died while on duty.
“This is a real shock and a great grief for the entire company – for the first time since the full-scale invasion, one of our employees has died while simply performing his official duties,” the department noted.

Attacks on Ukraine’s power grid
As UNIAN previously reported, on the night of October 10, Russia dealt one of the largest blows to Ukraine’s energy sector. Emergency shutdown schedules and special schedules were introduced in the Kyiv, Poltava, Kharkiv, and Sumy regions.
According to military expert Ivan Stupak, Russia’s goal is to plunge Ukraine into a complete blackout . He says the Russians understand that without electricity, without any kind of production, Ukraine’s production capacity will be cut off. He also believes the prosecutor’s office is thus retaliating for the Ukrainian strikes on their oil refineries.
DTEK CEO Maxim Timchenko stated that Russians ” can make our lives unbearable , very, very hard,” but, in his opinion, “they will not succeed in destroying our energy system.”
