According to Turkish media, the Bayraktar plant was attacked.

During the night attack on Ukraine, Russia, in particular, struck a Turkish enterprise and the Azerbaijani embassy in Kyiv, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in his telegram .

Thus, the Ukrainian leader reported that he had a telephone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

“We exchanged views on the current situation and discussed the next diplomatic steps. Ukraine is ready to speak in the format of leaders, because this is the only effective format. And, unfortunately, it is Russia that is avoiding this and continuing the war,” Zelensky wrote.

Recalling the Russian Federation’s night attack on Ukraine, the president noted that “there were strikes on a Turkish enterprise, the Embassy of Azerbaijan, the European Union Representation, the British Council, and residential areas.”

He did not specify which Turkish enterprise was the target of the Russian attack. However, the Turkish newspaper Türkiye Gazetesi previously reported that the Russians had struck twice at a newly built factory of the Turkish company Baykar (the manufacturer of Bayraktar drones) near Kyiv.

“There was a lot of talk about security guarantees. President Erdogan announced that he was involving his Minister of Defense in the process to understand how Turkey can help guarantee security, including in the Black Sea,” Zelensky added.
