This is the second day that Russian attacks on Ukrainian railways have continued. The country is experiencing colossal train delays.

In Volyn, 2 km from the Polish border, Russians attacked a passenger train locomotive. Ukrzaliznytsia reported this on Telegram.

It is noted that the monitoring group warned the train crew about the threat in advance, thanks to which no one was injured.

“We continue to monitor air threats, ensure train traffic, and take maximum measures to ensure the safety of passengers and railway workers,” the statement said.

Ukrzaliznytsia CEO Oleksandr Pertsovsky wrote on social media that Russia has been attacking railway infrastructure for two days now.

“This is the second day of continuous enemy attacks on the railway: depots, stations, rolling stock. All teams are on duty, monitoring the situation, responding, and evacuating to a safe location,” he notes.

He added that there were no casualties.

In turn, Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha responded to Russia’s strikes on the Ukrainian-Polish border.

“Russia’s barbaric attacks at the Ukrainian-Polish border in Jagodina are not simply a continuation of its attacks on Ukraine’s state borders. This is Putin’s terror, knocking directly on the doors of the EU and NATO. The Russian barbarians are already at your gates, dear partners,” he emphasized.

The minister called on partners to act now and deploy the full force of sanctions against the Putin regime. This includes a complete trade embargo, a complete travel ban, and sanctions against the military-industrial complex.

Train traffic situation

Due to Russian attacks, trains in Ukraine are delayed by up to 18 hours. The longest delay is for train #773/774 Konotop-Zhmerynka: +18 hours 20 minutes.

Several more flights are delayed by 9-10 hours, dozens of others by 2-6 hours.
