  1. Sickening news from Roman Sheremeta :

The Financial Times reports that Rodney Mims Cook Jr., chairman of the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts, went to Putin’s economic forum in St. Petersburg in June on a quiet diplomatic mission. He was issued a diplomatic passport, given extensive briefings and a security detail, and met with kremlin officials – among them Anton Kobyakov, a senior aide to Putin.

Cook’s other job is overseeing the construction of Trump’s White House ballroom.

On the opening day of the forum, Ukrainian drones struck an oil refinery on the Neva. Cook watched the smoke on his way to breakfast at the Winter Palace and called it a little too close for comfort. At his panel, moderated by Putin’s cultural envoy, he spoke for roughly twenty minutes about his dacha in Atlanta and his love of russian orthodox architecture. He passed along “a good hello from your friend, President Trump.”
The war did not come up.

This is how Washington is “trying” to end the war.
