Last night, the Russian army launched a massive drone strike on the port and energy infrastructure of the Odesa region . This was reported by Oleg Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional State Administration.
According to him, on November 17, Russian terrorists again launched a massive attack on the Odessa region using attack drones.
“Explosions rocked several cities. Despite effective air defense, damage to energy and port infrastructure was recorded. Several civilian vessels were damaged during the attack. The resulting fires were quickly extinguished by rescuers,” the official said.
According to him, one person was injured. Restoration work is currently ongoing.

The press service of the Odessa Regional Prosecutor’s Office clarified that a civilian, an 18-year-old youth, was injured during the enemy attack.
“The Russian Armed Forces launched a massive attack using attack drones against a city and district in the Odessa region,” the prosecutor’s office added.
An investigation into war crimes (Part 1, Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) has now been launched. Prosecutors and police officers are working on the scene. The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by local police units.

In particular, facilities in the Izmail district were damaged. According to local authorities, the attack resulted in partial power outages in the city of Izmail and the village of Broska. Critical infrastructure, life support facilities, and warning systems are operating on backup power. Water, wastewater, and heat supply are provided by generators.
It is also noted that medical institutions and social welfare institutions are operating as usual, using backup power.
“The Izmail City Council headquarters is working quickly to restore power to the affected areas and is documenting the aftermath of the damage. A commission has begun work to assess the extent of the damage,” officials noted.

According to Oleksiy Kuleba , Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine and Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine , the attack damaged port equipment and several civilian vessels at berth. Power outages were reported at one of the ports. Specialists are currently working to restore it.
The regional headquarters of the State Emergency Service added that the fires were caused by fires at energy and port infrastructure facilities. The State Emergency Service has deployed 10 units of equipment and 30 firefighters, while local fire brigades have deployed five units of equipment and 10 personnel.
